My name is Kaewa, and I am Treks cute little mascot! My name has many meanings: traveler, vagabond, wanderer. Though I have never travelled further than Aotearoa (why would I want to), I love to explore the streets of Wellington, so ask at reception about taking me on an adventure! 

Things I like: fairy bread, marmite toast, predator-proof fencing, judging guests’ best attempts at a New Zealand accent.  

Things I don’t like: the sun, birds that fly, guests who don’t wash their dishes, rodents, being confused with a fruit!

My name is Guido! 
Senior blood at Trek. A year since I arrived at Pōneke and Aotearoa. 
Although I was born in Argentina, I’ve spent most of my life moving from place to place. 
What simply started with my curiosity flourished into the way I live my life and grow as a human. 
I geek out on coffee (my morning wine), wine (my wine wine) and films (all the films). 
If I feel inspired, I’ll be walking around with my camera on hand and music in my ears. 
As a neurospicy human I have many hobbies but am a master of none.

Kia ora! I’m Lucy, and have been apart of the Trek crew for a while now. When I’m not helping out at reception, you’ll find me with my nose in a good book. Hi there, My name is Mafia Federika, but you can call me Rika. Yes, Mafia. And no, I am not running a secret crime syndicate (or am I?) I am actually the Housekeeping Manager of this gorgeous hostel.  Think of me as the queen of clean with a side of sass. Lately, I’ve discovered my green thumb or at least I’m trying to grow one, because I am now obsessed with gardening. If you have any seedlings, plants, or even a lonely cactus looking for new home, hit me up. seriously, my plant army is recruiting. don’t worry, I don’t bite, unless you’re a spider plant. then maybe. talk to me, I promise I’m mostly harmless.

Hi! My name is Kaylee. I was born and raised in New Zealand, specifically on the beautiful Kapiti Coast where I grew up. I love listening to rock music and have a strong tolerance for spicy food. I’m a big animal lover and am proud to be part of the housekeeping team. If you see me around, do say hi—I love getting to know our guests!

Daina

Hola, my name is Daina! I recently arrived in New Zealand from Argentina just three months ago and have been part of the team at Trek for a short time now. I speak Argentinian and am currently learning Japanese. My favorite food is pizza, and I enjoy drinking a lot of Mate. I’m excited to be working at Trek in the housekeeping team, so if you ever see me around, be sure to say “¡Hola!”

Hola! 

I am Cami, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but I have been living in New Zealand for the last 6 years. I have visited most of the beautiful NZ places, and now I am living in the windiest city in the world, and I am part of the housekeeping team of the coolest backpackers in town. I have a passion for culture and arts, but specifically for Films. I have studied film directing and producing, and I have some short films with my name on the credits. I am very curious about pretty much everything and I try to always learn something new. So, if you see me around, I am more than happy to share with you NZ travelling tips, movies for rainy days or Argentinian recipes 😊
